Grocery workers are essential service providers who many may overlook during this pandemic. They increased their efforts [across the world/nation] while adding in Covid-19 safety precautions of extra cleaning, expanded maintenance and no-contact online programs.
"Supermarket employees have helped us stay strong during the COVID-19 pandemic. When the rest of the world went into home sheltering, grocery stores remained open and employees remained dedicated to their jobs."
-Leslie Sarasin, FMI President and CEO
We walk into stores rarely acknowledging the behind-the-scenes man-power it takes to keep local grocers running smooth. Those out on the floor desperately organizing the stocking and switch-outs. Their daily to-dos are part of providing the best and freshest products to their customers. All while doing their best to stay available, but periphery of shoppers.
Out amongst the supermarket employees are the retail service agents; merchandisers working closely with the retailers to fulfill clients' product needs while respecting and aiding the grocery proprietor.
SAS Retail Services did not close their doors when the pandemic hit. Our Team Members masked-up and aided the call of extra-coverage around the nation. Our Continuity division plugs away day-in and day-out without fail. Are remodel and reset teams endure the 2nd and 3rd shifts to fulfill store ebb and flow.
"Nothing has been comparable to what we have done and the unique challenges and unique unprecedented solutions we've encountered in 2020. The amount of audibles that we've had to call and change direction to ensure that we are meeting our client, our manufacturer and our customers' expectations are really [monumental] tasks that we should all be proud of."
-Jacob Jackson, Sr. VP of Operations
